A scholarship will be awarded annually to a student enrolled at Missouri State University with a declared major in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminology.

  • Applicant must be a junior standing with 60 or more credit hours or senior standing with 90 or more credit hours.  Applicant must also have a minimum 3.00 overall grade point average.

  • Recipient must be enrolled in at least 12 hours the semester they receive the award.

  • Public service is an important component of this scholarship.  Applicant shall submit one page letter to the Departmental Awards Committee explaining his/her experience in and commitment to public service.

  • Financial need may be considered when making the award.

  • Current scholarship amount is $700.
